Drew Barrymore and Husband Seek Divorce From Montecito Home

Actress Drew Barrymore is getting a divorce – a divorce from her Montecito, CA home, that is. Roughly a year after getting married in a private ceremony on the tranquil grounds of the two-acre estate, Barrymore and her husband, Will Kopelman, have decided to call it quits, listing the charming Traditional for $7.5 million . Built in 1936, Barrymore’s estate offers a total of six bedrooms, 7.5 baths and 6,258 square feet. Set among lush gardens and mature citrus and avocado trees, a gravel motor court winds to a brick-lined terrace. Inside, the home opens to a dramatic foyer with a grand staircase and features an intricate wood-paneled living room and a study. Barrymore originally purchased the property last year for a reported $5.705 million.

Chinese Zodiac: Jackie Chan at his best again

In his latest movie, CZ12 aka Chinese Zodiac, the 58-year-old Jackie Chan will be seen battling canines and free-falling from volcanoes. Chan, known for his outrageous stunts and for incurring over 200 injuries in his career, has even outdone himself this time. Jackie, who said that working with the dogs required extreme patience, also revealed he received a dog bite while filming. Since the only way he could endear himself to the dogs was by playing with them and giving them treats, in one scene Jackie still had the scent of food on his hand so the dog nipped it, drawing blood.

Golden Screen Cinemas recently opened its second GSC lite cinema at the new Amanjaya Mall. The eight-screen GSC Lite offers movie goers the signature GSC entertainment magic in a lighter, modest and more accessible manner to cater for markets like Sungei Petani, without sacrificing the effects of big screens and digital sounds like those offered in GSC cinemas nationwide. With the new GSC Amanjaya Mall, that’s equipped with seven digital halls (including two digital 3D halls), movie-goers will be able to enjoy more digital movies in either 2D or 3D format. At the launch, GSC Chief Executive Officer Koh Mei Lee said: “We are looking forward to offering a better selection of movies for the local community with this new cinema.” Built at a cost of RM15 million, GSC Amanjaya Mall has a total seating capacity of 1,306 which includes 1,290 seats and 16 designated spaces for those wheelchair bound.
